Two auctions are due to be held for over 700 premium domains, the first is for Landrush domains that were not paid for & failed Sunrise applications the second for Landrush domains that received no bids at auction.

Auctions to buy domains are due to be held between 23-29 April and 14-20 May respectively. Auctions are FREE to enter and there is no obligation to bid!

Domainmonster.com will be taking and submitting auction entries between 6th April 2009 at 00:00 UTC and 20th April 2009 at 23:59 UTC for the first auction and 27th April 2009 at 00:00 UTC and 11th May 2009 at 23:59 UTC for the second auction.

Auction Procedures for Buying .me Domains

The following procedures will apply to Buying domains during the April and May Auctions, for domains not allocated during Sunrise and Landrush auctions unless otherwise indicated.

  1. The bidding process for these auctions will take place on the .ME Registry Auction platform where participants worldwide will be able to bid.
  2. Once an auction entry is submitted you will be notified of the auction site URL and credentials via email that must be used prior to the start of the auction to establish a qualified bidder's account.
    1. Notification emails will be sent April 22nd 2009 and May 13th 2009 respectively.
    2. Emails will be sent from support@auctions.domain.me, please ensure that this is white listed.
  3. Auctions last 7 days starting:
    1. for the first auction Apr 23 thru Apr 29
    2. for the second auction May 14 thru May 20
  4. The minimum opening bid is $100 (one-hundred USD) for the first auction and $75 (seventy-five USD) for the second auction.
  5. Bidding in an auction:
    1. Applicants may place a maximum bid and a proxy service will automatically bid for them.
    2. Alternatively, applicants may place a fixed bid in real time at the next bid increment level.
  6. The winning bidder, the Registrant contact (if different), will be notified via email.
  7. The winning bidder will have 72 hours to arrange payment through the auction platform via credit card or wire transfer.
  8. The winning bidder should allow 72 hours for the payment to be validated. If there are any issues with payment validation the winning bidder will be notified and allowed sufficient time to rectify any such issues.
  9. After the payment has been validated the name will be registered and allocated to the Registrant as listed in the application. The winning bidder, the Registrant contact (if different) will be notified via email.
