- .co.uk is a country code TLD. It was originally designed for COmmerical use.
- Restrictions:
- Anyone may register a .co.uk domain name, even if you are not in the UK.
Manage Information
- Renewal Information:
- Renewals for .co.uk domains may only be carried out when the domain has 6 months or less before it expires. Renewing the domain adds 2 years on to the current expiry date.
- Expiry Information:
- Upon expiry, .co.uk domains enter a 30 day grace period. Your domain will continue to work during this period, and you can still renew it.
- Redemption Information:
- After the 30 day grace period .co.uk domains enter a 60 day suspension period. During this period, your .co.uk domain will cease to work and you will be unable to make any changes to it. However, you can still renew it. Once the 60 day suspension period is up, Nominet will delete the domain at a random time over the following 7 days.
- Transfer Information:
- Transfers can be initiated at any time with your current provider. It is a simple process of asking your current provider to change the Registrar TAG on the domain to the TAG of your new provider. Domainmonster's Registrar TAG is "MONSTER".
