Domain registration for the .cm domain name extension.

.cm domain registration and what you need to know
During initial launch, there were two periods that the general public needed to be aware of during the .cm domain name registration process. These two periods were known as Landrush and Open Registration.
Landrush - During the initial .cm Landrush phase, anyone from the general public could apply to register any available .cm domain. If however, there was more than one application for a particular domain name then the domain was entered into an auction where interested parties are able to place bids for the domain registration. This stage was not first-come, first-served.
If you were the only person to make an application for a .cm domain registration then the domain will be registered to you at the end of the Landrush phase.
Open Registration - Once the Landrush phase has completed, the .cm domain registry opened their doors for the Open Registration period, where live domain registrations took place on a first-come, first-served basis.
You could Pre-Order your .cm Open Registration applications with us! All Pre-Order applications were taken on a no-win-no-fee basis, so if an applied for domain was not registered to you at the end of the Landrush process, and you had not placed a bid, you received a full refund to your original payment card.
Open Registration Process
Domain registration during this phase were on a first-come, first-served basis. However, as expected, a large percentage of the more popular .cm domain names were applied for and registered during the earlier Landrush phase. If you are serious about registering a .cm domain, don't delay and make sure you don't lose out on your valuable domain!

- Payment for Open Registration Pre-Orders were pre-authorised 72 hours prior to Open Registration.
- All applications for Open Registration domains were taken on a no-win-no-fee basis, if we were unable to secure your domain you were not charged.
Landrush Registration Process
The .cm Landrush phase was the first opportunity for the general public to apply to register a .cm domain, there were no special requirements needed to register a domain for the Landrush phase.
- Landrush domain registration Pre-Order and order process
- If a domain name was requested by two or more parties during Landrush then the domain was subject to an auction process. At this point, all interested parties had the option to bid on the domain.
- Important Auction Information
- All .cm domain auctions were held by NameJet.com. An account was automatically created for each registrant, and they were informed of access information via an email from auto-notification@namejet.com which should have been whitelisted.
- Auction participants were able to use a Proxy Bid system allowing the auction system to automatically place bids on their behalf up to the desired Max Bid amount. Auctions were extended 5 minutes every time an auction participant submitted a bid within the last 5 minutes. The minimum bid started at $50 and the minimum bid increment was $10. Once the bid amount reached $1,000 the minimum bid increment increased to $100.
- Payment for Landrush applications was taken at the time of your order
- All applications for Landrush domains were taken on a no-win-no-fee basis, if you did not win your domain at auction you received a full refund to your original payment card, provided no bid was made during the auction.
- If you were the only applicant for a domain during Landrush phase, then the domain was registered to you at the end of the Landrush phase. As expected, the majority of more popular names to be registered during this period.
