There are some prerequisites for utilising Instant Mobilizer Instant Site Builder:
In order for the Instant Mobilizer to populate your .mobi website, an existing website must exist to pull live content from. It is not required that a site exists when you sign up for the service; However, no content will be available at the .mobi website until the corresponding desktop website is live and can be used by the site builder.
Instant Mobilizer check list:- I have an existing domain name that my Instant Mobilizer .mobi can pull content from.
- I have checked that the site renders well using the Instant Mobilizer Preview tool.
- I'm aware of the limitations of mobile devices and mobilized domains created with the Site Builder.
Limitations for Mobilized domains
Not all website functionalities are supported by mobile devices, and hence are removed or modified by the Instant Mobilizer Site Builder. An adapted site may therefore appear and function differently on different devices.
Instant Mobilizer site builder limitations include the following:- Flash
- Javascript
- Forms
- Image Maps
- Non-web functionality such as ftp, email
- SSL
- Colour is not guaranteed to be correctly preserved
- Advertisements are preserved but may not be consumable on a mobile device
