.xxx Landrush phase

The .xxx domain launched in September 2011, when the Sunrise phase began. This was followed by the Landrush phase, before the domain was opened up for General Availabilty.

.xxx Landrush Domain registration
Applying for your domain registration during the .xxx Landrush phase is critical if you wish to protect your brand or register a highly sought-after domain name. We expect many of the more popular generic .xxx domain names to be registered during this phase.
Landrush
Duration: NOV 8th 2011 - NOV 25th 2011
- Apply for a domain registration during this phase if you are a member of the sponsored community seeking to register a highly sought-after domain name.
- This phase is not first-come, first-served and if more than one valid application is received for a domain during Landrush, then the name will be entered into an auction. Applicants will then have the opportunity to bid for the domain name. Auctions are operated by Pool.com.
- .xxx Landrush auctions will be held during the Quiet Period following the Landrush phase.
- In the unfortunate instance that you are unsuccessful securing your .xxx Landrush application, we will refund you £30 of the original charge to the original payment card approximately 7 working days after notification from the registry.
