.tel Failed Sunrise Application Domains

What happens with domains that failed a Sunrise application?
Domains associated with Sunrise Applications which meet the following conditions go straight onto the .tel reserved list:
- The sunrise application has failed validation AND…
- The reconsideration window has expired AND…
- There is no next in line same name sunrise application.
The domains that meet these criteria will soon be following the release process which involves deleting them from the reserved list and then making them available for registration. The process is outlined below:
- Starting on Wednesday 11 March 2009 at 15:00 UTC, Telnic will be releasing all domains which have failed sunrise validation where the reconsideration window has expired and where there is no ‘next in line’ application for the same name.
- This process will continue every following Wednesday at 15:00 UTC until all sunrise applications have been processed and all rejected domains released.
Domains that become available during the Landrush process will be available to register and charged at current Landrush rates, those domains that become available at General Availability (due to extended Sunrise Validation) will then be charged at General Availability Rates.
There will be no list of rejected .tel Sunrise domains published. Sunrise applications and status can be queried through the Sunrise Whois.
