Domain Name Website Tools

Various tools are available to monitor the performance of your website. Here are several to get you started.

Top25Web works by searching Domain Names by keyword and will tell you what pages your site is listed on by keyword. Neutralize.com can give you a pie chart which shows the percentages of your pages indexed in each of the major search engines, including Google, MSN and Alta Vista. This can be especially useful if you have a very large site and do not wish to check each page individually.

There is also a useful article here about writing keyword-rich copy. A handy testing tool for this purpose is at keyworddensity.com. Word Tracker will give you a free report on keyword traffic, or you can pay £4.00 for a day’s usage.

Although meta-tags have become less important because of Google’s advanced search algorithms, but the title tag is still quite relevant and it is worth using the following tools to optimise your keywords. Site Solutions offers a website analysis option which can tell you whether you have the best combination of keywords in your tags. Site Screamer has a useful tag analysis which gives a narrative rating of your tags.
