The Longest Domain Name In The World

A village in Wales with the longest name in Britain has resulted in the registration of the longest domain name in the world. The new domain name,, owes its existence to the 63 character limit on domain names.

The limit was originally 26 but is now 63 characters. The most common length for a domain name is seven characters and with good reason as shorter Domain Names being easier to remember are less likely to get entered incorrectly. The downside being that its harder to find a good one as many have already gone.
