Cloaking

Cloaking is a technique whereby, when web forwarding is being used, the destination URL is not displayed in the address bar of the site visitor's web browser; instead, the redirecting domain name is displayed (even after the user navigates to other pages or websites).

Cloaking can be problematic for search engines because it usually works by displaying the destination page in an HTML frame, meaning that the content of the page often fails to be indexed by the search engines' spiders.
