Redirect
Redirection is an umbrella term for a variety of techniques which cause a web user's browser to redirect a URL visitor to a different destination URL. Generally speaking, redirection is problematic for search engine optimisation (SEO), because search engines find it difficult to index pages which are at the end of a redirect. Domains using redirects stand little or no chance of being properly indexed by the major search engines, Google, Yahoo and MSN.
