Bitmap Graphic

Bitmap graphics are uncompressed raster image files, supporting colour depths of up to 24-bit. A transparency file can be stored separately. Bitmap images are very large because each pixel is defined individually. JPEG, GIF and PNG compression formats exist to reduce the size of these raw image files.
