Who can apply for a .tel domain?
.tel domain names have no restrictions, they are available for anyone to register. The three availability periods Sunrise, Landrush and General Availability will run from 3rd December 2008, 3rd February 2009 and 24th March 2009 respectively.
Sunrise application are available to trademark holders only. Landrush is the first opportunity for anyone to register a .tel domain at a premium price.

Launch Information
The .tel Sunrise period allows holders of eligible registered trademarks to apply for a .tel domain name before registration is available to the general public. Unlike the recent .asia and .me launches there will be no auctions and no pre-reserved domains at any stage of the .tel launch.
Domainmonster.com has been accepting Sunrise applications from the 4th November. These will be dealt with on a first come first served basis. We will not take more than one application for each domain. The registration period for a sunrise application is 3 years.
To start your Sunrise application, simply search for your domain.
Landrush commences at 15:00GMT on the 3rd February, 2009. This is the point at which domains are available for sale to the general public at a premium cost. Orders will be treated on a first come first served basis, there will be no reserved names or auctions.
Anyone seriously looking for a .tel domain needs to be registering at this stage. There are no auctions or premium domains so it's first-come-first-served for any domain not registered during Sunrise.
General Availability commences at 15:00GMT on the 24th March, 2009. This stage is open for anyone to register a .tel domain name at the standard price. Orders will be treated on a first come first served basis. Domains can be registered from 1-10 years.
